Please excuse the lack of pricing and availability information. If you spot a lamp or vessel that you would like to make your very own, email or call me and I will fill you in on any details not covered below including pricing, etc. Note: Raku Lamps typically sell from $75 to $500, Raku Vessels from $15 to $300, plus taxes and shipping of course.

The way it works?
If you are not able to visit my studio, you can choose a piece from one of the galleries and I will let you know if it is available. However, most of my clients choose to mix and match form-shapes, glaze types, lamp hardware and such. Vessel designs can be used for lamps, lamp designs for vessels. Sketch an idea and send it to me if you like or we can start from scratch. Show me what you like, tell me what want, and I will attempt to join your aesthetic fancy (yes, I did use that word) with that thing that happens when I get muddy.

If you cannot arrange to visit my studio to see the results, I will email several high-quality images for your inspection. I often throw more than one version which works out well with Raku due to the unpredictable nature of the process. If you don’t like what you see, there is absolutely no obligation to buy. I understand that beauty is the most subjective of sensibilities and we can try again anytime if you like. Besides, I have a hard time parting with my clay babies and I am genuinely happy to keep them for as long as possible.

Keep in mind that I do not use slip-cast techniques or otherwise mass-produce. Most of my works are hand-thrown on the potters wheel, some are slab constructed, and I hand-sculpt various elements. Except for body-caste pieces in special cases, I don’t do replicas. All pieces are glazed & fired onsite and all have the heart and soul of a dedicated clay-artist within.

What I'm trying to say is that while I typically work fairly quickly, unless the piece you choose is available, the forces of nature must be summoned, the clay must be transformed, and patience is a virtue.

The default shipping method is UPS Ground unless you want it faster. Shipping costs are included in the price of the pottery.
